Istanbul Gelisim University – General Introduction

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) is a dynamic and internationally oriented foundation university located in Avcılar district of Istanbul, established in 2008 by the Gelisim Education, Culture, Health and Social Services Foundation. Initially starting as a vocational school, it officially gained university status in 2011.

Furthermore, it has programs accredited by international accreditation bodies such as AQAS, AHPGS, and ABET, making it one of the universities with the most internationally accredited programs in Turkey.

Research, Social Life, and Campus

IGU campus offers a rich university life with nearly 150 laboratories, 22 research centers, and 76 student clubs where students can be active in social, cultural, and sports fields.
